Hahn Auto Participates in the Auto Value Charity Car Program
Hahn Automotive is proud to have participated with Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper in the nationwide program that helped victims of domestic violence gain their freedom through the donation of refurbished cars. This unprecedented vehicle gift program was sponsored by the warehouses, parts stores and certified service centers flying the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper flags.
Each group in the distribution channel played their own pivotal role in this program. Certified service centers donated their labor and the warehouses and parts stores furnished the necessary replacement parts to refurbish automobiles. All three groups helped solicit vehicle donations from their customers. These vehicles benefited former victims who have escaped a domestic abuse environment and now require financial help in the form of basic, reliable transportation – but cannot afford to provide it themselves.
The last component of the distribution channel to join Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper in this momentous enterprise were the esteemed vendor partners that work with us every day. Approved vendors that signed on for this year were: 3M, ASC Industries, Dayco Rubber Products, Dorman Products, East Penn Manufacturing, Exide Technologies, Federal-Mogul, Gates Rubber, Goodyear, Monroe Auto Equipment, Morse Brake, Proliance, Standard Motor Products, Valvoline Oil, and Wix Filters.
The entire group of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper shareholders, along with hundreds of parts stores and certified service centers, allied with The Original 1-800-Charity Cars organization (Charity Cars, Inc. a 501-C-3 non-profit charity, FED ID #59-3362703) in a massive project to seek, secure, and refurbish vehicles that were presented to over 500 qualified recipients at grand award ceremonies held throughout 2007 in various locations across the nation.
Hahn would like to recognize Max Williams and his district for their success with this program. On October 6, 2007 Max and his crew held an event at the Beavercreek, Ohio Quaker Steak and Lube that gave away 18 refurbished vehicles. Through the hard work and efforts from Max, the service centers, the parts stores, the domestic violence agencies and the rest of the crew, 18 deserving recipients got a little more help and lots of hope on starting a new life.
The Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Charity Cars Campaign is believed to be one of the largest single charitable vehicle donations to victims of domestic violence in history. Hahn Automotive will be participating in this program again in 2008, and are currently looking for vehicle donations.
