1952
Mike Futerman arrived in the United States and worked at a family-owned auto parts store where he learned and began to love the business.
1958
Mike purchased Hahn Tire & Battery in Rochester, NY which was the start to his own auto parts business.
1960
Vendors began to sell directly to the company making it a wholesale distributor. The company was renamed to Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc.
1966
The first acquisition was made of an automotive aftermarket warehouse distributor in Syracuse, NY.
1976
Hahn Automotive joins the program distribution group, Auto Value.
1980
Mike's son, Eli N. Futerman joins the company.
In the 80's, Hahn was one of the first wholesalers to provide jobbers with computer terminals.
1982
Acquisition of United Consolidated Industries, which included 7 distribution facilities and 4 company owned jobber stores.
1983
Acquisition of Alco Standard Warehouse, located in Buffalo, NY.
The Auto Value program was incorporated into the company.
1986
Advantage Auto Stores are established.
1988
Daniel J. Chessin joins the company. Acquisition of AI Automotive’s operations in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. This added 4 more distribution centers and 23 company stores.
1992
Mike Futerman was named C.E.O., and Eli N. Futerman became president.
1994
Acquisition of Meisenzahl Auto Parts. This entered Hahn into direct distribution.
1996
Hahn was chosen to be the exclusive supplier of replacement parts for all NY state-owned vehicles. Acquisition of Nu-Way Auto Parts Inc., a group of direct distribution centers in Rochester, NY.
2001
Eli N. Futerman and Daniel J. Chessin became co-presidents of Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc.
2002
Acquisition of A&K Sales, Inc., located in Central and Western, NY and Erie, PA. Three more warehouses and 12 company stores were added.
2007
Acquisition of Prime Automotive, headquarters located in Glendale, NY. This added 21 warehouse locations in the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
